Why we launched Pukunui Learn
You may have noticed that the official Moodle™ app has recently become difficult for some organisations to use. The current Moodle HQ policy has introduced significant restrictions for our hosted sites. The standard Moodle™ app now enforces a ‘Subscription Required’ barrier for some institutions, which often blocks learners from accessing their courses entirely.
Pukunui Learn was developed specifically to eliminate these barriers. By switching to our app, you bypass these restrictions, ensuring your learners have unlimited, uninterrupted access at no additional cost to you.

How to get your learners started
- Download: Find us on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Enter Site URL: Type in your organisation’s Moodle web address.
- Log In: Use your standard username and password.

Want Your Own Branded App?
While Pukunui Learn is available for all our clients to use today, we also offer a fully customised white-label app service that carries your unique brand identity directly to the App Store and Google Play.
As shown in the table above, a branded version allows you to put your organisation’s name and logo directly on the App Store and Google Play. Most importantly, we can pre-code your site URL, so your learners never have to type it in—making the login process frictionless.
